Hey Awe! Just wanted to let you know that while I'm enjoying the threads we have at WR, sometimes it's hard to respond to your tags because you don't give me much to work with (this goes for both Twilight and Grolla). Is there any way you could make your tags longer & give some more introspection?

I could pull specific examples if you'd like! I'd like to have meaningful CR with you; it's just hard when I can't come up with proper responses because neither character gives me more than a one-sentence response (and no bracket introspection) at times.

Hey Awe, this is Terri from one of my other accounts. For a while now, I've felt like Twilight's personality is a little off, but I haven't been able to pinpoint how. You do her voice/cadence perfectly well! Her verboseness and attention to details. This kind of helped me, though:

"With the help of the Elements of Harmony, we - although, really, mostly I - were able to get us all back to normal, and when we'd all gone back to the library they reacted to something and began spraying me with energy, so to speak."

To me, that reads much more like a Season 1, just arrived in Ponyville knowing nothing about friendship Twilight. I can't remember an instance in later seasons where she didn't go out of her way to give credit to her friends where they were involved. The whole plot of Trixie's introduction episode is how humble Twilight is. She doesn't often talk the talk, she just lets her actions speak for her. Your Twilight often seems more distant, again like her early episodes counterpart. Maybe some of that is to do with your circumstances? I know you don't have the time to get heavily involved with some of the MLJ plot, and that might have affected your ability to maintain closer CR for Twi.

It might be helpful to read the plot summary page more often, though. And specifically keep an eye out on any threads with Celestia that pop up. Maybe make notes of what Celestia's said so that you can make sure you've got what Twi would remember? Watching S3 again for a refresher couldn't hurt, either! Twilight's still a socially awkward pony at times, but sometimes it feels like I don't get the same warmth from her replies that I think of when I think Twilight.

Your concern is valid, and in that particular instance I feel correct, there's an explanation at least for the distance: she's still terrified that she might become some horrible monster eventually, after having heard that Cálice used to be her, and isn't sure that she wasn't mistaken or lying to herself when she said she wasn't going to. She certainly doesn't intend to, of course, but... sometimes things happen. Although somehow I don't think that's much of an excuse either.

It has been a while since I did much review, though.
